The Albion United Reformed Church is a Grade II* listed building mainly of Gothic design, with glorious stained glass windows designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and installed by William Morris, and a magnificent Lewis Organ.
It will be appreciated that to keep the building, windows and organ in a state of good repair many thousands of pounds are required and Albion members work very hard at raising money. They also balance this with remembering their responsibility to the wider church and as such still manage to send out several thousand pounds each year to other worthwhile causes and charities.
If you are able, please send a donation to preserve this beautiful church for future generations.
The church has the following accounts where donations can be placed towards the maintenance & repairs:-
- Clock repair – October 2021 – the clock needs a new motor – cost £2400
- Building Fund (Currently our roof needs a repair – cost £5000)
- Window Fund (For the Burnes-Jones windows only)
- Organ Fund (For maintenance & restoration of The Lewis Organ)
Why not join us at one of our Sunday Services or future events to hear the organ being played.
