Safeguarding at Albion Church

At Albion Church, we are committed to creating a safe, caring and respectful environment for everyone.

Safeguarding means protecting the wellbeing, dignity and rights of children, young people, adults at risk, volunteers, staff and all who engage with church life.

We take our responsibilities seriously and work in line with guidance from The United Reformed Church and relevant statutory agencies.

Our Commitment

We aim to:

  • Promote a culture of safety, respect and inclusion
  • Prevent abuse, neglect, harm and exploitation
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to concerns
  • Work alongside statutory services where required
  • Recruit staff and volunteers safely
  • Ensure safeguarding is regularly reviewed by church leadership
  • Support those affected by abuse with compassion and sensitivity
