Today was a truly special day at Albion.

We were delighted to welcome Jack Donnelly for the first time. Following a wonderful bring-and-share lunch, Jack spent time with our monthly “The Circle” group, sharing his lived experience in a way that was both powerful and deeply moving.

This was also the first time Jack has stood in person to speak so openly about such an emotive and heartfelt topic. That made the moment all the more meaningful, and we felt incredibly privileged to be part of it.

Jack spoke about receiving a late autism diagnosis, reflecting on how this shaped his life, and the challenges he has faced in both education and employment. His honesty and insight created a space for real understanding, connection, and reflection.

We were also pleased to support Ambitious About Autism, a charity Jack is an ambassador for. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised £105 in cash donations, alongside additional contributions made directly to the charity.

As we look ahead to Pentecost, we are reminded of its powerful message—of the Holy Spirit giving voice to those who were often unheard, enabling people from all backgrounds to be understood. Today felt like a glimpse of that same spirit: creating space for voices from the margins to be heard, valued, and truly listened to.

Moments like this remind us why creating spaces to listen, learn, and grow together matters so much—especially during Autism Acceptance Month.
